Meet the Photographer
I’m Susan Graalman and I’m so happy to meet you. I’ve been dabbling with photography since high school when my dad gave me one of his many cameras, a trusty little 35mm Minolta that I carried with me everywhere. I bought film almost weekly because I loved taking photos of all my friends. In fact, I still have many of those photos in a box somewhere in my house!

The name Jeek Photography is something I came up with because when I was growing up, my Korean family would always say “1-2-3 Jeek!” when taking a photo (similar to “1-2-3 click!”). I wanted a name that stuck out and that meant something personal to me. I get asked a lot what Jeek means, so now you know.

I love photography, the people I meet, and the stories behind the photo. If you look through my photos, you’ll notice I don’t have a particular “style.” This is because I love to make each photo a unique visual experience. I also keep in mind the person, family, event, or occasion that I’m shooting. My clients appreciate this about me and I’m so thankful for everyone of you!
